Prepositions! (Children’s House 2)

Next to? In front of? On top of? Between? Behind? Outside? Inside? Before? After? We’ve got them all covered! We started exploring the world of prepositions this week. We realized that we already use all kinds of prepositions all the time, sometimes without even realizing it. We use them in our morning meetings when we figure out the days of the week and the months of the year (“What comes before Thursday?” “What month is after April?”), when we organize ourselves in a line, when we put things away and tidy up the shelves…all kinds of ways, all day long. Then we worked on sharpening our skills by matching those prepositions with their words, using sorting cards and “quizzing” each other. We’re having so much fun expanding our language skills, and we can’t wait for what new skills we’ll learn after this!
