Sail-abration to end of summer

Let us sail out to the sea with our theme for this week. I’m on a boat!! Children House 1 was very hands on with our projects this week. We backed our own morning snacks and a cool treat for the afternoon. The students had the opportunity to roll out their own dough and dress it with butter and sugar. They noticed the difference between raw and backed dough. We also made Jello “boats” we watched as powder turned to liquid then back to a solid. They were as perplexed  as they were amazed! They had the last splash day of the year they enjoyed getting wet and playing with bubbles. What a great end of the summer celebration.
