Reading, Math, and Holiday Elves (Children’s House 2)

We kept moving right along with our hard work in all areas this week, exploring and experimenting with spelling using the Moveable Alphabet, and refining our skills in math in terms of quantifying amounts and matching those quantities with their symbols (the numerals). We also read The Elf on the Shelf, and named our own little elf who’s hiding out here and there in our classroom. (Because we’re so in love with the solar system right now, we wanted to name him after a planet. And because he’s small, we chose Pluto, of course. ) Pluto keeps careful watch over our work, and is quite impressed!
