Inch By Inch (Children’s House 2)

We continued working in our springtime flower unit this week, and sowed seeds in our very own little flower garden. We talked about how a seed becomes a plant (roots, sprouts, and germination), and the three things seeds need to grow (soil, water, and sun). We planted cosmos, zinnias, sunflowers, and bachelor’s buttons, and can’t wait to watch them grow! While we wait, we learned all about measuring, and how to use a ruler, so that when the time comes, we can track the height of our flowers’ sprouts and stems (and so we can measure all kinds of things in the classroom in the meantime, too)!
