Happy February! (Children’s House 2)

We welcomed the month of February this week, with some new work and old favorites. As we continue to hone our reading skills with the Moveable Alphabet (spelling more and more words every day!), we are also practicing our writing skills by tracing the Sandpaper Letters and then “writing” them with our fingertips in the sand tray. And to beat any lingering winter “blues,” we have had lots of fun with flower arranging. We select a bud vase, choose a flower or two, fill the vase with water (carefully pouring with the funnel), and trim the flower stems to fit the vase just right. We then brighten up our classroom by choosing the perfect spot to display our arrangements!
