Children house
Hello from the Children’s House. Our unit this week was Autumn. In our practical life unit the children learned how to rake the leaves in a pile using a child’s rake. to strengthen our sensorial senses we created play-doh leaves. Once they dried they where able to feel the ruffles on the leaf. For science class the children experimented on watching leaves turn into fossil using leaves, Vaseline, water and plastic. During math time the children counted the lines on the 4 common leaves we learned about and also colored them. We also read books about Autumn our favorite was ” I know it’s Autumn” By Nancy Hayashi. What fun it was learning about the season!
